  1. Hello,

Just wondering - what is your OTB rating ? Are you a chess master ?

  2. Hi, and thanks for the first comment on my little blog :)

It depends on the time control to be honest. I'm definitely no master, but on an average day with a decent time control I'm about 2000 strength. I play very poorly online though.

I've helped a friend of mine get very strong. My biggest problem is not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of time to dedicate to chess.

  3. Could be interesting to read about your training of your friend : what you did, how it helped him, what he achieved. Always nice to share experiences :-)

  4. Absolutely...

He worked really hard to get where he is, I simply helped him hone his focus :) maybe I'll have him make a post about all the things he did. His current rating is 2236, but he is stronger than that :)
